Job summary

SOSi is seeking a Chief of Engineering to provide senior leadership, technical oversight, and strategic direction for engineering, infrastructure, and technical systems that support emergency response missions.

The role ensures deployable infrastructure, power, environmental controls, and communications assets are mission-ready, compliant, and quickly deployable for public health emergencies and disasters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering.
• Master’s degree in engineering, emergency management, public health, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads all engineering functions supporting SOSi’s ERSS operations, including deployable infrastructure and systems.
• Oversees preventive maintenance, inspections, and certification of equipment and facilities for readiness.
• Drives integration of new technologies and oversees testing and fielding of engineering systems.
• Coordinates with federal, state, and local agencies and partners on engineering support.
