Job summary

SOSi is seeking a Chief of Logistics and Transportation to lead logistics, supply chain, and transportation operations for national-scale responses. The role ensures readiness, deployability, and efficient mobilization of resources across federal, state, tribal, and local partners.

The position requires strategic oversight, program management, and collaboration with federal agencies and SOSi logistics providers to sustain mission readiness and rapid response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, business, or related field.
• 7 years experience in logistics, supply chain management, emergency management, or transportation operations.
• Demonstrated leadership in large‑scale or high‑tempo operational environments.
• Knowledge of federal emergency response frameworks (e.g., NIMS, IC).
• Experience coordinating with federal agencies, commercial logistics providers, and emergency response partners.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• May have to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret clearance (depending on customer).

Responsibilities

• Directs all logistics functions supporting operations, including supply chain, warehousing, procurement coordination, and distribution of materiel.
• Oversees inventory management systems, asset tracking, and lifecycle management for deployable equipment and response packages.
• Ensures compliance with federal logistics policies, ASPR guidelines, and emergency management standards.
• Leads planning and execution of ground, air, and maritime transportation for SOSi personnel, equipment, and supplies.
• Develops transportation readiness plans, routing strategies, and deployment timelines.
• Manages budgets, contracts, and resource allocations for logistics and transportation operations.
• Serves as primary logistics liaison to federal, state, tribal, territorial, and local partners.
