Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health Systems, a LifePoint Health facility in Rutherfordton, NC, seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to oversee nursing standards and practice across the hospital. The CNO will lead staffing planning, budget development, and performance improvement efforts to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires a registered nurse with a BSN and a Master’s degree (MSN or MHA), plus 3–5 years of CNO experience in a investor-owned setting. Licensure in North Carolina is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with knowledge of nursing principles, theories and practice standards.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master's Degree (MSN or MHA) required.
• 3–5 years of CNO experience in an investor-owned healthcare organization.
• Experience with Joint Commission preparation and survey process.

Responsibilities

• Prepares master nursing services staffing plan.
• Directs nursing activities per hospital policies and procedures.
• Develops, implements, and manages the nursing services budget.
• Leads nursing service performance improvement initiatives.
• Represents hospital in health care programs and professional organizations.
