Qualifikationen

• Active and current registered nurse license in the practicing state.
• Academic nursing degree required; postgraduate degree preferred or a written plan with timeline to obtain one.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification and maintenance.
• Minimum five years of progressive nursing management experience in a facility.
• Minimum two years of leadership or administrative experience.

Aufgaben

• Provide strategic leadership as the senior executive responsible for all nursing and designated patient care functions.
• Lead at an executive level to deliver nursing care, treatment, and services.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate nursing practice at the facility level.
• Assume 24/7 responsibility and ensure high-quality, safe nursing care and resource management.
• Represent nursing on the governing board and with medical staff leadership.
• Participate in professional staff committees and advocate for nursing and clinical areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of federal, state, local laws and accreditation standards.
• Implement and periodically revise nursing practice standards of care.
• Identify and report medical/healthcare errors and support resolution.
• Apply responsible cost controls to maximize funds from departmental budgets.
