Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Director of Nursing Services (DON) in Gainesville, TX to lead the Nursing Department across a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will provide strategic clinical leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality care outcomes for residents.

The role requires an RN with state licensure, 2+ years supervising DON/ADON experience in SNF, survey readiness, and strong leadership. You will manage staffing, care planning, and collaborate with administration to maintain excellence.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license (state-specific)
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience as a DON/ADON in an SNF
• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
• Experience with survey readiness, Plans of Correction, and quality improvement
• Demonstrated leadership skills to coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff
• Ability to read, write, and speak English

Responsibilities

• Provide overall clinical leadership to ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance
• Oversee nursing staff in the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care
• Oversee comprehensive care planning and ensure interdisciplinary coordination
• Uphold resident rights, dignity, privacy, and safety
• Communicate with physicians, families, and responsible parties about significant changes in condition
• Participate in pre-admission assessments and coordinate admissions with Administrator
