Job summary

Renaissance Care Center in Gainesville, TX is hiring a Director of Nursing Services (DON) to oversee clinical operations in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The DON will provide strategic leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality outcomes across the nursing department.

Ideal candidates have RN licensure, at least 2 years in a DON/ADON supervisory role, and strong knowledge of LTC regulations. The role requires oversight of staffing, survey readiness, and continuous quality

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience as a DON or ADON in a Skilled Nursing Facility
• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
• Experience with survey readiness, Plans of Correction (POCs), and quality improvement
• Demonstrated leadership to coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff
• Ability to read, write, and speak English

Responsibilities

• Provide overall clinical leadership to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical outcomes
• Oversee and support nursing staff in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care
• Oversee the comprehensive care planning process and ensure interdisciplinary coordination
• Uphold resident rights, including dignity, privacy, informed consent, and safety
• Ensure timely communication with physicians, families, and responsible parties regarding changes in condition
• Participate in pre-admission assessments and approve admissions with the Administrator
