Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
• Minimum of five years of ski area operations experience, including at least three years as a department manager.

Responsibilities

• Operational Readiness: Ensure on-mountain operations open on schedule with quality, safety, and guest service.
• Operating Plan and Agency Relations: Prepare the annual Operating Plan and coordinate with agencies like US Forest Service.
• Daily Coordination: Lead regular operational meetings and communicate across all departments.
• Budgeting: Build operating and capital budgets; monitor performance against budget.
• Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain policies meeting company, staff, and guest needs.
• Safety and Risk Management: Promote safety culture and support incident reporting programs.
• Staff Leadership and Development: Mentor managers and support hiring and training.
• Records and Reporting: Maintain daily operational records for reporting and planning.
• Capital Projects: Manage on-mountain capital projects and slope work as needed.
• Planning and Strategy: Contribute to short-term strategies and long-term mountain development.
