Job summary

United Way of the Plains Inc. is seeking a President & CEO to lead the organization in advancing collective impact across Sedgwick, Butler, Cowley, Sumner and surrounding counties. The role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and proven fundraising capabilities to grow community support.

The CEO will collaborate with the Board, senior staff, volunteers and external partners to drive sustainable results, ensure fiscal integrity, and strengthen inclusivity and diversity across operations.

Qualifications

• Substantial leadership experience in the nonprofit sector or senior strategic leadership experience in large organizations.
• Minimum of seven years executive level management experience in human services or related fields.
• Experience developing partnerships, building teams and resolving conflicts.
• Graduate degree preferred; a bachelor’s degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead United Way of the Plains with a clear vision for Collective Impact.
• Oversee fundraising strategies and resource development to advance community impact.
• Direct strategy, policy, and organizational alignment with the board.
• Manage senior leadership, budget oversight, and inclusion goals.
• Build relationships with diverse stakeholders across sectors to grow the organization.
