Job summary

United Way of the Plains seeks a President/CEO to lead the organization, advancing Collective Impact by guiding a diverse team of staff and volunteers, building trust across sectors, and strengthening partnerships with the Board, donors, and community leaders to improve lives in south central Kansas.

Ideal candidates have substantial nonprofit leadership experience, a graduate degree (or equivalent) with a Bachelor’s as minimum, and at least seven years in executive management.

Qualifications

• Substantial leadership experience in nonprofit work.
• Graduate degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven fundraising, partnership development and board collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Collective Impact across the community with diverse teams.
• Cultivate relationships with Board, volunteers and donors.
• Develop strategy, oversee fundraising, and ensure fiscal integrity.
• Hire, mentor, and advance staff while advancing diversity and inclusion.
