Job summary

Just Communities Of Arkansas seeks a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization through its next phase of impact from its base in Arkansas. The role demands nonprofit leadership, fundraising, strategic planning, board engagement, fiscal oversight, operations, and program supervision while strengthening inclusion, equity, engagement, transparency, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Commitment to JCA's mission and philosophy.
• Experience with diverse and marginalized communities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to build relationships.
• Willingness to address personal biases.
• Leadership in a nonprofit or community organization.
• Experience with fundraising, communications, and strategic planning.
• Ability to participate in weekend and overnight programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee fundraising roadmap, donor relations, and grant activities.
• Lead strategic planning, evaluation, and alignment with goals.
• Serve as liaison between staff and Board; support governance.
• Oversee communications, partnerships, and community outreach.
• Hire, develop, and manage staff and volunteers; HR policy alignment.
• Manage organizational finances, budgeting, and audits.
• Guide program development, staff and contractor collaboration.
