Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando seeks a Chief Engineering Manager for the JASSM program within the Strike Systems area. You will report to the JASSM Development Chief Engineer and collaborate with the JASSM Chief Engineering staff to ensure cross-program synergy and lessons learned, while coordinating with other Strike Systems Chief Engineers.

The role requires leading technical and programmatic efforts, guiding engineering teams, and maintaining strong relations with USG customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with professional experience in missile systems.
• Ten years of experience in engineering leadership or program management.
• Experience and demonstrated skillset with Missile systems design and development.
• Ability to plan and lead technical teams/efforts on complex missile systems.
• Must be able to obtain program-level security clearance (Secret).

Responsibilities

• Providing technical leadership that enables the team to meet milestones on schedule.
• Providing leadership on development enhancements for JASSM variants across USG and FMS.
• Overseeing alternative engine engineering and manufacturing development (EMD).
• Leading multi-year JASSM software contracts and supplier strategy.
• Shaping partnerships with the USG customer and cross-functional teams.
• Guiding IPT leads in program planning, scheduling, design concepts, verification, and lifecycle reviews.
• Collaborating with Engineering Excellence to ensure milestones are met.
• Participating in technical reviews and monthly E&T meetings.
• Communicating lessons learned and ensuring cross-task synergy within Chief Engineer staff.
