Medical City Arlington is seeking a Chief Medical Resident/Junior Faculty to join the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Arlington. This one-year leadership role blends education, patient care, and program administration, preparing for academic medicine and fellowship.

The role emphasizes supervising residents, teaching in didactics, and contributing to recruitment and schedules, while engaging in day-to-day rotation planning and program improvement.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
• In good academic standing by June 30, 2026
• Active BLS and ACLS certification required
• Texas Medical License and DEA License required
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents and students in outpatient or inpatient internal medicine clinic
• Supervise residents and students on inpatient ward service (monthly)
• Teach residents in didactic settings including morning report, simulation lab, and board review
• Participate in recruitment, program improvement, schedules, coaching/mentoring, administrative meetings, and resident promotion
