Job summary

LifeBridge Health, Sinai Hospital, seeks a senior professional to oversee medical physics, dosimetry, and radiation safety across the system. You will lead clinical protocol development and contribute to research while ensuring precise treatment planning and dosimetry calculations.

The role requires credentials in Therapeutic Medical Physics, a Master’s in Physical Sciences, and experience in a clinical radiation oncology setting; Ph.D. is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physical Sciences and Radiologic Physics required.
  • Certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
  • Ph.D. preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical radiation oncology setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or co-lead development of clinical protocols for advanced treatment modalities.
  • Participate in research initiatives and contribute to clinical innovations.
  • Perform and verify treatment planning and dosimetry calculations.
  • Ensure quality control, perform calibrations, and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct acceptance testing for new or upgraded radiation therapy equipment.
  • Monitor compliance with state and federal radiation safety standards.
  • Provide radiation safety services, including training, surveys, wipe testing, and coordination of radioactive waste disposal.
  • Maintain knowledge of current regulations and safety procedures.
