Abby Care in San Francisco is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to lead external clinical strategy and shape the narrative with payors, health systems, regulators, and industry bodies.

You will partner with commercial, operations, product, and analytics to define the value proposition and advance the care model for family-led home care. The role requires MD/DO, proven external presence, and ability to translate clinical outcomes into commercial wins.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with active clinical practice and board certification.
• Existing platform and reputation in home-based care, value-based care, Medicaid, or related areas.
• Ability to translate clinical outcomes into commercial wins.
• Strong external presence: published work, conference speaking, payor relationships, media comfort.
• Fluency in how plans measure clinical performance (HEDIS, CAHPS, risk adjustment, TVOC).

Responsibilities

• Advise the CEO and executive team on clinical strategy, care model evolution, and external positioning.
• Build the Abby Care clinical narrative across pediatrics, adult home health, and senior care.
• Serve as the external clinical face with payors, health systems, regulators, and industry bodies.
• Own the evidence strategy: partner with analytics and clinical operations to design the outcomes program and publish results.
• Represent Abby Care at conferences, roundtables, and advisory forums; build speaking and thought leadership platform.
