Now, we’re looking for a Chief Marketing Officer to lead our brand, growth, and communication strategy, someone who thrives on building bold narratives, scaling user acquisition, and delivering results in a fast-paced startup environment.
The Role
As CMO, you’ll be responsible for crafting and executing a full-funnel marketing strategy that establishes BetSmart as a category-defining brand. You’ll drive customer acquisition and retention, own our messaging and positioning, and build a high-performing team to scale both B2C and B2B growth initiatives.
We are seeking a marketing leader who blends strategic clarity, creative instinct, and a deep understanding of performance marketing who is extremely excited about the prospect of working at the intersection of sports, technology, and data.
What You’ll Do
Brand Leadership
• Own and evolve BetSmart’s brand identity, voice, and storytelling across all channels.
• Build a high-impact visual and content strategy that aligns with company goals.
• Collaborate with product, design, and leadership to ensure brand consistency across user experiences.
Growth & Acquisition
• Develop and execute a data-driven growth marketing plan across paid, organic, influencer, and partnership channels.
• Lead campaign development and optimize performance through continuous iteration.
• Oversee conversion funnels, user segmentation, and ROI-focused experimentation.
• Guide the development of compelling content, marketing assets, and communication materials that make complex data products engaging and understandable.
• Lead cross-functional content initiatives across web, email, social, and PR.
• Build and manage a high-performing, multidisciplinary marketing team.
• Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture that balances creativity and execution.
• Align marketing goals with company OKRs and report directly to the CEO.
Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement
• Establish strategic partnerships with media, influencers, and other relevant platforms in the sports and gaming space.
• Act as a thought leader for the brand in public forums, interviews, and keynotes.
What You Bring
Experience
• 7+ years in marketing leadership roles, ideally in high-growth startups, fintech, gaming, or consumer tech.
• Proven track record of building brands and scaling customer acquisition through full-funnel strategies.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across brand, performance, content, and partnerships.
• Demonstrated success in building brands and acquiring users through digital and integrated campaigns.
Skills
• Deep knowledge of digital marketing channels (SEO, paid media, lifecycle, social, influencer, affiliate, etc.).
• Strong eye for design and storytelling, with an ability to simplify and elevate messaging.
• Data-savvy: understands how to measure, optimize, and communicate marketing performance.
• Familiar with tools like popular CRMs, Google Analytics, Figma, Meta/Google Ads Manager, and modern SEO tools and martech stacks.
