Location: United States
Salary: $170,000-$200,000 + Bonus Potential

Job Description

Our client manages a diverse portfolio of brands, each featuring its own website, sales team, and marketplace presence (50k SKUs company-wide). These divisions cater to a range of verticals, addressing both DTC and B2B audiences. They are looking to add a new Remote Director of Ecommerce Marketing who will roll up their sleeves, think big, and execute even bigger. This isn’t just about maintaining what exists. It’s about building what doesn’t—yet. They’re ready to break through a year of more stagnant growth and need a trailblazing revenue driver to lead the charge. This role is designed for a self-starter who can operate with little direction from above, generate and execute bold ideas, and take ownership of growth across all digital channels. Although you will oversee a team of 10 while also managing external agencies, this is a hands-on role. Paid media is a major component—you must be both a strategic thinker and that tactical executer. This would be the perfect fit for someone who identifies as scrappy and resourceful. Someone who values working in leaner environments where you can have more impact. Ultimately, this is a rare opportunity to build a legacy you can be proud of inside a well-established $65M business undergoing a strategic transformation. Given your anticipated impact, this role could ascend into a Chief Marketing Officer position over the next few years.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee digital acquisition channels, including paid search, social, SEO, and email
  2. Create marketing plans that balance short-term and long-term objectives
  3. Drive organic and paid social media strategies that enhance engagement and ROI
  4. Evolve brand positioning and ensure consistent messaging across all brands
  5. Oversee promotional activities through organic and paid social media engagement
  6. Align marketing strategies across departments for unified customer experience
  7. Manage marketing KPIs and deliver regular performance reports with actionable insights
  8. Maintain relationships with agencies and vendors, conducting reviews to ensure performance
  9. Identify and implement new marketing channels and programs to drive growth
  10. Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to find opportunities for strategic advantage

Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of people leadership experience required
  2. 5+ years of driving growth within high-volume (5k+ SKUs) DTC ecommerce platforms required
  3. Retail ecommerce experience managing multiple brands and product categories at once required
  4. PPC, SEO, and social media marketing experience required
  5. Experience overseeing paid media budgets of $1M or more required
