Job summary

Perma.sh is private cloud storage you pay for once. Customers buy upload capacity upfront, files are encrypted in the browser before upload, and the private key stays with the customer.

Our mission is to give people a simpler way to keep their files private without another recurring storage bill. We're looking for a Chief Marketing Officer to turn that promise into a brand people understand, trust, and choose.

Qualifications

• Track record of growing an early-stage technology product.
• Strong product marketing judgment and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Hands-on experience with customer research, acquisition experiments, conversion optimization, and lifecycle marketing.
• Comfort with limited resources, making decisions with incomplete data, and adjusting direction when needed.
• Strong writing skills, analytical discipline, and care for customer trust.

Responsibilities

• Define Perma's positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy around customer needs.
• Interview customers and test audiences to identify resonant use cases and offers.
• Build and improve acquisition across content, search, social, partnerships, and paid campaigns.
• Own website messaging, launch campaigns, email journeys, and educational content to drive action.
• Partner with product on onboarding, activation, and conversion.
• Establish measurement across the customer journey and tie marketing to revenue and CAC.
