Job description

Responsibilities

Responsible for work assignments and supervising engineers. Establishes reporting procedures, checks work performed to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable functions and safety requirements. Provides input to the medical center budget based on equipment analysis. Receives general guidance and directions from the Director of Facility Management and Plant Operations.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Three (3) years of experience in supervision and maintenance, including installation, construction, and maintenance of equipment, utilities, and buildings in hospitals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with workers and other members of Medical Center Staff, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications for installation and maintenance of equipment.
• Ability to make accurate estimates for repairs, construction, and maintenance projects.
• Ability to develop monitoring systems that regulate the tasks and activities of subordinate staff.
• High school diploma with a general engineering background.
