Job summary

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology seeks a University Librarian to lead the Library across multiple campuses, overseeing collections, services, budget, and strategic partnerships. This role acts as the intellectual leader for the Library within a graduate-focused university with a national footprint.

Responsibilities include developing a vision for library services, coordinating with leadership, and driving improvements to support student learning, research, and community engagement

Qualifications

• At least five years of academic library experience with evidence of progressive growth in scope of responsibilities.
• Proven record of stewardship of physical, fiscal, technological, and human resources.
• Ability to foster positive team-based environments to empower librarians and staff.
• Strong leadership that aligns with The Chicago School’s values of Education, Innovation, Community, and Impact.
• Ability to articulate the library’s value on student learning, research productivity, and campus engagement.
• Knowledge of trends in health information and higher education, plus IP and scholarly information management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a strategic vision for library and academic support services.
• Lead budget planning, reporting, and cost control across locations.
• Collaborate with leadership to set annual goals and monitor progress.
• Oversee operations across multiple campuses and online programs.
• Advance student enrollment, retention, and success through library services.
