Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a Library and Digital Media Manager to support librarians across the district, lead professional learning, and secure licensed materials for Skyline’s PK-12 curriculum. This full-time, exempt role reports to the Director of Digital Learning & Libraries and emphasizes collaboration with university partners and CPS departments.

The role requires a Master’s in Library Science (preferred), IL PEL endorsement, and at least five years in library leadership or teaching

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Master’s degree in Library and Information Science preferred.
Valid teaching certificate/PEL with Library Information Specialist endorsement strongly preferred.
Minimum of five years experience teaching in the classroom or in a library role.
Experience designing professional learning for large and small groups.

Responsibilities

Develop and promote coherent instructional guidance and learning materials for school librarians.
Recruit for and administer librarian cohort programs with university partners.
Manage procurement, vendor relationships, grant funds, and donations.
Manage licensing, partnerships, and permissions for Skyline.
Deliver professional learning to district librarians and educators across CPS.
