Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an experienced General Counsel for Digital Technology & Global Security to partner with the CIO, CSO, and CDAIO, delivering proactive legal counsel on cybersecurity, privacy, AI, and data protections. You will guide regulatory readiness, incident response, and global risk management while enabling transformative tech adoption with compliance and resilience.

You will lead the privacy program, advise on national security and DoD requirements, and collaborate with executives

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in good standing.
Minimum 10 years of experience as a lawyer, including at least 5 years in cyber/privacy/technology.
At least 5 years of experience in cyber, privacy, and/or technology law, including U.S. DoD cyber requirements and GDPR familiarity.
Advising senior leaders on cyber, AI, privacy, technology, and related risk matters.
Developing and implementing policies, governance frameworks, and practical guidance for compliance.

Responsibilities

Serve as principal legal advisor to CIO, CISO, and CDAIO on cybersecurity, privacy, data protection, third‑party risk, product security, AI, and related digital matters.
Lead AI governance program, policies, and escalation processes.
Drive AI regulatory readiness by monitoring AI laws and standards (EU AI Act, US AI rules, NIST framework).
Oversee privacy program and incident response, including breach responses and regulatory disclosures.
Advise on national security matters and global regulatory regimes affecting cyber and data.
