Job summary

IDEAYA Biosciences is seeking a Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications in South San Francisco, CA. This leader will build and run an integrated IR and corporate communications function during a pivotal growth phase toward commercialization.

The role reports to the CFO and works with the CEO and leadership team to shape external messaging, investor engagement, and communications infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in investor relations, corporate communications, equity research, or related biotech roles.
• Significant experience supporting publicly traded biotechnology companies.
• Strong understanding of biotechnology drug development, clinical development, regulatory pathways, and capital markets.
• Demonstrated success building trusted relationships with institutional investors, analysts, media, executives, and Boards.
• Experience leading communications around clinical, regulatory, financing, and strategic milestones.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with IDEAYA's objectives.
• Serve as a key contact for institutional investors and analysts.
• Prepare for quarterly earnings, roadshows, and investor meetings; develop earnings materials and messaging.
• Oversee press releases, investor materials, and executive talking points.
• Monitor investor sentiment and ensure SEC disclosure compliance and governance standards.
• Develop and execute corporate communications strategy to strengthen reputation and visibility.
• Lead and scale the Investor Relations and Corporate Communications function, including hiring and processes.
