Job summary

The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art seeks an Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Initiatives to lead institutional research, accreditation, and strategic planning. This hands-on executive role blends data engineering with faculty governance to drive evidence-based decisions.

The role reports to the President, sits on the President's Cabinet, and oversees dashboards, reporting, and external compliance for MSCHE, NYSED, and other bodies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education administration or related field.
• Doctorate not required but preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience with accreditation and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and KPI development for the college.
• Oversee institutional research, dashboards, and reporting.
• Manage accreditation processes and external reporting.
• Guide assessment across programs and administrative units.
• Collaborate with leadership to translate priorities into measurable outcomes.
• Develop data governance and reporting standards.
