Job summary

UMOS, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI seeks a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Information and Technology to lead IT, cybersecurity, data protection, and enterprise systems across multiple states.

The role reports to the President/CEO and directs IT staff, budgets, and technology investments to align with the organization's mission. You will set policy, govern risk, drive innovation, ensure regulatory compliance, and build resilient operations while collaborating with senior leadership to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Ten or more years of progressively responsible IT experience, including at least five years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
• Experience overseeing complex IT environments, including enterprise systems and outsourced services.
• Knowledge of business process analysis, procurement, project management and vendor management.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate with executive leadership.
• Ability to lead multi-state teams and develop practical solutions to complex challenges.
• Willingness to travel as required and work occasional evenings, weekends, or irregular hours.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and administration of UMOS' Information Technology function, including budgets and investments.
• Develop and execute the organization's technology strategy and policies.
• Direct design, implementation, security, and performance of the IT environment and vendor relationships.
• Plan how information is organized, stored, protected, and shared across databases and systems.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and governance practices.
• Direct procurement and lifecycle management of IT hardware, software, and services.
• Collaborate with executives on planning, policy development, and technology initiatives.
• Provide organizational-wide technology strategy and governance, monitor compliance, and elevate risks.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and IT standards.
• Deliver timely, professional technical support to all staff.
• Lead long-range technology planning, disaster recovery, and budgeting.
• Represent UMOS in professional and community activities to support funding and partnerships.
• Participate in meetings and perform other duties to support organizational operations.
