Job summary

Help at Home is seeking a strategic Head of Information Security to lead the enterprise‑wide security program. This hands‑on senior role partners with IT, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to mature cyber risk management, resilience, and governance across 12 states and 66,000 clients.

The role drives security operations, policy development, vendor management, and regulatory compliance (SOX, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 2) while promoting a culture of security awareness and responsible AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field is required.
• 12+ years of information security experience with 3+ years leading security teams or programs.
• Hands-on security operations experience including incident response and vulnerability management.
• Experience remediating SOX/ITGC deficiencies or material weaknesses preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS Controls; security certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise security strategy and roadmap with measurable outcomes.
• Oversee security operations, governance, risk management, and metrics.
• Build and mentor the security team; manage MSSP and vendor partners.
• Ensure security is integrated into SDLC and product/vendor relationships.
• Drive regulatory compliance programs and audit readiness (SOX, HIPAA).
• Lead AI governance and responsible use policy development.
• Coordinate cyber resilience, BCP/DR, and incident response readiness.
• Communicate risk to executives and boards with practical recommendations.
