Job summary

Breeze Airways in Salt Lake City is seeking a Director of Inflight Training & Standards to lead the Inflight Training Team, overseeing New Hire and Recurrent training and ensuring FAA and TSA compliance.

You will provide strategic leadership for learning design, training programs, and regulatory recordkeeping, coordinating across multiple locations and with regulatory agencies to advance safety, guest experience, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or equivalent field
• 7+ years’ experience in progressive leadership leading large, diverse teams
• 3+ years’ experience as a Flight Attendant
• 2+ years’ experience in an Inflight Training Leadership Role
• Experience in adult learning methodologies and curriculum development
• Extensive knowledge of FAA regulations, particularly Part 121 Inflight, FARs and FAA guidance
• Ability to pass Breeze background and drug tests
• Willingness to travel frequently (up to 25%)
• Must possess a valid passport

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Inflight managers, instructors, curriculum developers, and support personnel
• Provide strategic leadership for Inflight Safety, Training, and Standards, ensuring FAA and safety/guest experience alignment
• Direct Inflight Training Design and Delivery across multiple locations
• Develop and execute vision for learning design, training compliance, and technology-enabled learning solutions
• Ensure regulatory training programs are approved and incorporated into training programs
• Collaborate with Breeze training leaders to ensure consistency across programs and regulatory compliance
• Serve as liaison for Inflight Records and Training Scheduling, ensuring accurate records and tracking
• Lead audit readiness activities, including IOSA, FAA inspections, internal audits, and investigations
• Liaise with FAA and other agencies to ensure compliance across Inflight Training, Safety, Standards
• Establish relationships with operational partners to align best practices and efficiencies
• Research and implement emerging industry trends and instructional techniques
• Oversee training budget, structure, planning, and expenditures
• Lead safety reviews and corrective actions
• Oversee performance management for training personnel and trainees
