Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a seasoned technical leader to spearhead our Authentication edge. As VP of Authentication Services, you will architect, scale, and operate high-throughput SSO, MFA, and passwordless pipelines within a Zero Trust framework.

You will direct an elite team, shape roadmaps, and influence cross-functional partners to improve security and user experience across workforce and B2B identities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/STEM or equivalent mix of education and IT experience.
• At least 5 years designing, scaling Okta Identity Cloud solutions and workflows.
• Minimum 5 years leading distributed engineering and infra teams.
• Expert knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, WS-Fed, SCIM.
• Willingness to travel for business as required.

Responsibilities

• Own workforce authentication strategy focused on security and UX.
• Define roadmaps for authentication technologies (Okta, MFA, SSO).
• Lead 24/7 engineering/operations for high availability services.
• Architect secure, zero-trust authentication patterns for enterprise apps.
• Collaborate to build data-driven business cases for initiatives.
• Oversee integration of apps with authentication and IAM platforms.
