Job summary

Materion Corporation seeks a strategic Vice President of Supply Chain to oversee supply chain, logistics operations and purchasing strategies enabling sustainable growth. You will drive demand planning, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management while leading a high-impact team.

Key responsibilities include developing supply chain solutions, benchmarking KPIs, and ensuring cost competitiveness, quality and service.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management; MBA preferred.
15 years progressive supply chain management or operations management experience; including 5 years in materials management and 7 years leading a team.
Professional certifications (CPM, APICS) a benefit.

Responsibilities

Drive and deliver competitive advantage and cost savings by managing world-class supply chain operations.
Develop, monitor, and benchmark key supply chain KPIs; use them in operational decisions.
Establish supply chain contingency plans for sole sources or critical items to prevent interruptions.
Develop and implement programs to improve production quality and efficiency.
Enforce policies and regulations as promulgated by the VP of Procurement.
Analyze operational procedures and recommend changes to improve effectiveness and efficiency; compile reports.
Select, guide, train and motivate BU level category managers and buyers to optimize service, cost, quality, and inventory.
