Job summary

Facing Hunger Foodbank seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead a comprehensive fundraising program across an expansive service area. You will supervise a development team, nurture donor relationships, and drive major gifts, grants, and planned giving to sustain critical programs.

You will partner with the CEO and Board to shape strategy, engage community partners, and oversee communications and events. A strong track record in nonprofit fundraising and strategic leadership is essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of progressive fundraising and development experience.
Experience supervising development professionals and fundraising operations.
Experience with donor database software and prospect research tools.
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Develops and implements a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet financial goals.
Provides leadership to development staff and oversees donor relations activities.
Manages major gifts program and stewardship with individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
Oversees grant research, proposal development, reporting, and compliance.
Represents the Foodbank in the community and coordinates fundraising events.
Develops donor stewardship initiatives and communications strategies.
