Job summary

Food Impact Partners is seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising strategy, donor engagement and relationship building with major donors, foundations and strategic partners.

Partnering with the CEO and senior leadership, you will translate organizational priorities into a practical fundraising plan and build a diversified, sustainable revenue base. This is a strategic, hands-on executive role focused on growth and impact.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a deeply mission aligned leader with the expertise to turn a clear vision into sustainable fundraising results.
• A proven track record of developing and executing fundraising strategies, growing revenue and building lasting donor relationships.
• Ability to prioritize opportunities, build a qualified pipeline, use fundraising metrics and forecasts, and connect revenue planning with budgets.
• Experience leading and developing teams, setting clear expectations and guiding change with emotional intelligence.
• Ability to articulate a compelling case for support and work effectively with the CEO, board and colleagues across functions.
• Strong, sustained commitment to protecting farmed animals and experience in animal protection is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated fundraising plan balancing near-term delivery with sustained growth.
• Partner with the CEO to identify, cultivate and steward major and principal donors, foundations and strategic funding partners.
• Create a disciplined approach to prospect identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
• Work with finance and senior leadership on budgets, revenue forecasts and scenario planning.
• Support board members in their fundraising roles and collaborate with programs, marketing and communications to create donor propositions.
