Job summary

Hawaii Foodbank seeks an experienced, strategic Vice President of Development to lead fundraising, donor engagement, communications, and development operations while guiding a 19-person team during a pivotal growth period. The role focuses on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major and principal gifts and advancing the End Hunger Together capital campaign to build a new Waipahu facility.

Reporting to the President & CEO and a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the VP will build

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; 10+ years fundraising leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success securing major gifts and campaigns.
  • Experience managing high-performing teams and collaborating with executives and boards.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead growth, complex fundraising strategies, and financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all fundraising activities including major gifts, capital campaigns, annual giving, institutional and foundation support, corporate partnerships, and planned giving.
  • Develop and oversee donor pipeline strategies and annual fundraising goals.
  • Build and personally manage a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects and donors.
  • Secure and facilitate six- and seven-figure gifts.
  • Oversee development operations, reporting, analytics, and donor stewardship.
