Job summary

Alamance Community College is seeking a Vice President of Operations/CFO to serve as the college’s chief operating and financial officer. This executive leads Business and Finance, Facilities and Construction, Information Services, and Auxiliary Services, reporting to the President.

The position requires a strong track record in strategic financial management, internal controls, and capital planning within higher education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 10 years of progressive supervisory experience in finance/operations, preferably in higher education.
• Preferred Master’s degree and 15 years supervisory experience, ideally within NC community colleges or higher education.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for College Business and Finance, Facilities, IT, and Auxiliary Services.
• Direct budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls.
• Oversee facilities planning, construction, and procurement compliance.
• Lead information services strategy, data governance, and security.
• Collaborate with President, Board, auditors, and partners on resource allocation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Admin

10+ years supervisory experience in finance/operations

Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Admin

15+ years supervisory experience
