Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer to oversee all financial operations and contribute significantly to our client’s growth and success. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in financial management, strategy, compliance, and team leadership, preferably within a B2B SaaS startup environment. The position is 100% virtual/remote, based in the United States. Only U.S. residents and citizens will be considered.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Accounting and Revenue Recognition: Managing accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance, overseeing revenue recognition (ASC 606), aligning with Sales and Legal teams, and delivering timely financial statements with revenue analysis.
2. Financial Management & Strategy: Leading FP&A, developing financial strategies, providing actionable insights, building financial models, and overseeing financial statement preparation.
3. Risk Management & Compliance: Identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate governance standards, and managing external stakeholder relationships.
4. Tax Strategy & Compliance: Developing and executing tax strategies, overseeing tax filings, minimizing tax burdens, collaborating with advisors, staying updated on tax reforms, and managing audits.
5. Leadership & Team Development: Leading and mentoring the finance team, hiring, developing personnel, and providing training.
6. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Overseeing financial reporting, monitoring key metrics, and leading reviews to improve profitability.
7. Investor Relations & Capital Management: Leading fundraising efforts, managing investor relationships, and optimizing capital structure.
8. Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing budgets, monitoring performance, and updating financial forecasts.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA/master’s preferred), CPA/CFA or relevant certifications a plus.
