About Us

Trades Mosaic LLC is a dynamic, growth-oriented company undergoing an exciting phase of strategic expansion and capital scaling. As part of our mission to build a resilient, forward-looking enterprise, we are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key member of our Board of Directors. This leader will provide high-level financial oversight, with a critical focus on capital strategy and funding execution.

Role Summary

The Board CFO will serve as the lead financial strategist on the board, providing governance, direction, and guidance on all financial matters. The primary responsibility will be to advise and lead on treasury-related initiatives, especially sourcing and structuring debt and equity financing to support growth, M&A activity, and operational needs. This role is ideal for a retired/semi-retired financial leader with a strong track record of leveraging banking relationships, raising institutional capital, optimizing capital structure, and building investor relationships across private and public markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise the executive team and board on overall capital strategy, including optimal debt/equity mix, timing, and structure of funding rounds.
  • Lead or oversee the sourcing of debt financing (e.g., term loans, revolving credit facilities, asset-based lending, mezzanine financing).
  • Guide the process of equity capital raising, including private placements, strategic investor engagement, and potential public offerings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, venture capitalists, family offices, and institutional lenders.
  • Support or guide management in negotiating deal terms, conducting financial due diligence, and preparing investor materials.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and risk indicators relevant to financing covenants and investor reporting.
  • Provide governance support on financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and audit compliance as needed.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute insights on capital allocation, return on investment, and value creation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CFO, Treasurer, or equivalent senior finance executive, preferably within M&A-driven environments.
  • Deep expertise in capital markets and corporate finance, particularly in raising both debt and equity funding.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions.
  • Experience in high-growth, private equity-backed, or M&A-driven environments strongly preferred.
  • Strategic mindset with a strong command of financial modeling, capital structuring, and deal mechanics.
  • Board experience or significant exposure to board-level decision-making is a plus.
  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or other relevant credentials preferred.
