The CFO will oversee multiple entities and locations, working closely with the CEO and board to drive strategic financial planning and execution. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, deep US GAAP knowledge, ERP/SAP experience, and a proven track record in risk management, capital allocation, and investor relations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting with 15+ years in accounting/finance, incl. 10+ years in a management role.
• ERP transition experience, preferably SAP.
• Agriculture or food manufacturing industry experience.
• MBA, CPA, CGMA or CMA preferred; knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial planning, reporting and risk across multiple entities.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting for the fiscal year.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and tax planning.
• Manage capital and cash flow to support operations and growth.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER- Food Manufacturing

A large vertically integrated agriculture company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their dynamic organization based in New York. The ideal candidate will have strong oversight experience of multiple entities and locations, strong analytical, strategic-planning, operational and communication skills, including an ability to work well with CEO, board members and other senior executives. Must have an agriculture or food industry background to be considered.

**Due to the hands-on nature of their business, the role is not available for a home based or hybrid work situation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Financial Management: managing the financial risks of the company. This includes handling financial planning, record-keeping, financial reporting and managing the company's financial risks.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: preparing the company's financial budgets and forecasts. This involves incorporating all the potential business activities in the fiscal year, making estimates based on historical data, assessing market trends, and more.
• Regulatory Compliance: oversee the company's compliance with all related financial regulations.
• Capital Management: managing the company's capital, ensuring that there is enough cash flow to meet the company's operational and strategic needs.
• Analysis of Financial Data: analyze the company's financial data to identify the trends and opportunities for improving financial performance.
• Overseeing Financial Reporting Process: Preparing the monthly financial statements and ensuring the company's financial statements are accurate and comply with financial regulations and standards.
• Investor Relations: work closely with investors and stakeholders of the company, providing regular updates on the company's financial performance.
• Strategic Planning: play a key role in corporate strategic planning, assessing financial outcomes of various strategic decisions.
• Tax Planning and Management: tax planning and ensuring the company meets all its tax obligations.
• Debt Management: ensure timely repayment of debts and manage interest rate risks.
• Risk Management: implement risk management strategies to mitigate business risks and protect the company's assets.
• Ensure that the company’s funding to merchants is aligned with the company’s policy and managing the fund recovery process.
• Performance Management: Spearhead process improvements in the department to boost efficiency and accuracy. Mentor & Develop staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

BS degree in Accounting & at least 15 years of experience in accounting or finance, including a minimum of ten years in a management role.

ERP transition experience-preferably with SAP

Agriculture or food manufacturing industry experience.

Advanced credentials such as an MBA, CPA, CGMA or CMA preferred. Professionals should possess knowledge of all aspects of US-GAAP.

Candidates for CFO should have held positions of increasing responsibility within accounting and finance.
