An organization in North Florida is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer to lead Finance and Accounting, Information Technology, and HRIS. This executive will help advance the organization’s strategic plan, strengthen operational infrastructure, and lead high-impact initiatives across the enterprise.

Reporting as a member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will oversee accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, IT, and HRIS. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely operations, strengthen controls and compliance, and translate financial and operational insight into sound strategic decisions.

The Opportunity

The CFO will lead the Finance and Accounting, IT, and HRIS functions and provide direct guidance to senior functional leaders. The role is accountable for effective accounting operations, payroll and HRIS processes, information systems strategy and reliability, budget management, treasury, audit readiness, regulatory reporting, and financial support for programs and growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems, policies, procedures, and internal controls; oversee the annual external audit.
• Lead integrated payroll and HRIS operations, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and effective controls.
• Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting and clear decision support to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
• Direct treasury management, cash controls, and funding strategies to maintain appropriate liquidity.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis.
• Maintain compliance and accurate reporting across applicable federal, state, local, lender, funder, and other external requirements.
• Shape and execute an enterprise technology vision that supports near- and long-term business priorities.
• Build strong teams, scalable systems, and a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an accounting concentration.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Active CPA credential required.
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, audit practices, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience planning and implementing enterprise-wide systems or process improvements that increase productivity.
• Working knowledge of the technologies and tools used to protect financial and information integrity.
