Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing organization operating in the Consumer Product Manufacturing Space. The company operates in a complex, high-volume environment with significant opportunities for continued organic growth, operational improvement, and strategic expansion through mergers and acquisitions.

The organization is seeking an accomplished financial executive to serve as the CFO and play a critical role in shaping the company’s next phase of growth.

Position Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and a strategic partner to the owner, providing financial leadership across the organization. This individual will have responsibility for financial strategy, planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, cash flow, working capital, financial reporting, risk management, capital allocation, and financial systems

The role requires a hands-on, operationally focused finance leader who can operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels. The CFO will partner closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial leadership to drive margin expansion, improve financial transparency, and enhance customer and product-level profitability across diverse portfolio of programs.

A significant component of this role will be supporting the company’s mergers and acquisition strategy, including evaluation, financial modeling, due diligence, transaction execution, financing, valuation, and post-acquisition integration.

The CFO will combine strategic financial leadership with a deep understanding of the economics of a manufacturing and packaged goods business, providing actionable insight into margins, pricing, customer and product profitability, inventory, cost structure, capacity investments, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a strategic financial partner to the Owner, executive leadership team, and ownership in developing and executing the company’s long-term growth strategy.
• Lead financial strategy, planning, forecasting, capital allocation, cash flow, and investment decisions.
• Provide financial and analytical insight into major strategic, operational, and investment decisions.
• Build scalable financial infrastructure, reporting, controls, and processes to support continued growth.

Mergers & Acquisitions:

• Play a leadership role in developing and executing the company’s M&A strategy and acquisition pipeline.
• Evaluate potential acquisition targets from strategic, financial, operational, and risk perspectives.
• Lead financial modeling, valuation, scenario analysis, and investment return analysis for potential transactions.
• Lead financial due diligence and partner with legal, tax, operational, and external advisors throughout the transaction process.
• Assess transaction structures, financing, alternatives, purchase price considerations, working-capital requirements, and potential synergies.
• Present acquisition analyses, recommendations, risks, and expected returns to executive leadership and ownership.
• Support negotiations and transaction execution from initial evaluation through closing.
• Support the development of scalable financial platform capable of integrating future acquisitions.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
• Establish and monitor financial and operational KPIs across the organization.
• Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, cash flow, and profitability trends.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve manufacturing economics, productivity, and profitability.
• Provide leadership around cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, manufacturing variances, overhead allocation, and product cost.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins through pricing, sourcing, product mix, operational efficiency, and cost management.
• Evaluate capital expenditures and capacity investments using disciplined ROI and return on capital.
• Lead cash flow forecasting, treasury management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.
• Develop strategies to improve cash conversion through inventory, receivables, payable, and purchasing practices.
• Manage relationships with banks, lenders, investors, and other financial partners.
• Evaluate financing alternatives and ensure an appropriate capital structure to support organic growth, capital expenditures, and acquisitions.
• Maintain appropriate liquidity while supporting supplier relationships, customer commitments, operational requirements, and strategic investments.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, audit, and internal control functions.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and other professional service providers.
• Ensuring financial system, ERP capabilities, reporting tools, and data infrastructure can support the organization’s growth and increasing complexity.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required; MBA, CPA, or other advanced professional qualifications.
• 10-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including prior experience as a CFO, or comparable senior financial executive within a substantial operating organization.
• Significant experience within single packaged goods manufacturing environment.
• Extensive hands-on mergers and acquisitions experienced required, including transaction evaluation, financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, deal execution, and post-acquisition integration.
• Demonstrated experience supporting multiple acquisitions and successfully integrating acquired businesses preferred.
• Proven success improving profitability, cash flow, financial visibility, and operation performance.
• Strong FP&A capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, long range planning, scenario analysis, and financial modeling.
• Experience managing banking relationships, financial systems, business intelligence, and scalable financial infrastructure.
• Exceptional executive communication, analytical, negotiation and strategic decision-making skills.
