Job description

The CFO is responsible for all financial aspects for Marshall Medical Centers (a part of the Huntsville Health System) and associated entities, including oversight of a $150+ million operating budget. The CFO must establish and maintain appropriate financial policies and strategies, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, establish budgets, and approve capital expenditures. This leader instills financial stewardship and understanding within Directors and Managers. He/she must work closely with the CEO, hospital Administrators, and Board of Directors to set and reach financial goals and provide financial guidance. The candidate must be forward-thinking with an excellent work ethic and communication style reflective of our Culture of Excellence, maintaining our focus on improving the lives of those we serve.

Minimum Qualifications for This Position:

1. BA degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field from a credible institution
2. At least 5 years of healthcare finance experience
3. Financial management and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications:

1. MA degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field from a credible institution
2. Prior experience as a CFO or similar position
3. CPA certification
