• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required; MBA preferred.
• CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in construction.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our thriving construction company. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead the financial direction of a well-established organization. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of financial strategy, planning, management, and decision-making. They will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, reporting on revenue, training accounting staff, budgeting, disbursing funds to departments, managing risk, implementing policies, and improving financial processes. The CFO will play a crucial role in the company's strategic planning and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
• Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and Board of Directors.
• Study long-range economic trends and project their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, and ensure compliance.
• Manage financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting, WIP, change orders, job cost and job costing.
• Oversee AIA billing processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers, pension funds and investments.
• Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
• Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions and minimizing the impact of variances.
• Report financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances and developing improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with financial processes including budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
• Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis and WIP, change orders, AIA billing, job cost and job costing.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional verbal, written and visual communication skills.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and lead the financial team effectively.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
• High level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility.
• Able to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively while maintaining professionalism.
