Job summary

Truity Credit Union, a not-for-profit cooperative focused on service, seeks a senior financial strategist to become Chief Financial Officer.

Reporting to the President/CEO, the CFO will guide financial strength, growth, and long-term sustainability while informing the Board on strategy, earnings, capital, liquidity, and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is required.
• MBA, CFA, or other advanced degree in finance preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years in a progressively responsible financial leadership role within a financial institution is required, including at least five years in ALM, investments, liquidity and capital planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial position and develop funding strategies to support growth.
• Serve as trusted advisor to CEO and Board on strategy, earnings, capital, liquidity and risk.
• Act as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO).

Truity Credit Union has an incredible opportunity for a senior financial strategist and key member of the executive leadership team to become its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO)! Reporting to the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the incoming executive will be accountable for the Credit Union's financial strength, growth capacity, and long-term sustainability. The CFO will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on strategy, earnings, capital, liquidity, and risk.

The CFO will maintain daily oversight of the Credit Union’s financial position, identify best practices, and build the financial plans and funding strategies needed to support rapid, disciplined growth as Truity Credit Union plans for its future growth with their branch deployment strategy. This position will serve as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO).

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required; an MBA, CFA, or other advanced degree or designation in finance is preferred. A minimum of 10 years in a progressively responsible financial leadership role within a financial institution is required, including at least five years in a senior role with direct responsibility for ALM, investments, liquidity, and capital planning. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to strategically position the Credit Union and translate financial performance into clear, actionable insights on growth, earnings, capital, liquidity, and risk, are essential.
