Job summary

Minnesota State College Southeast is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Administration to serve as the college’s chief financial officer and a key member of the President’s Cabinet. The VPFA provides leadership in finance, budget, administration, operations, and facilities across Red Wing and Winona campuses, with travel between locations as needed.

The position requires a strategic financial leader with strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting or related area required.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in leadership in business, finance or accounting, and supervisory leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success building partnerships with businesses, K-12 or educational organizations or equivalent.
• Strong business acumen with expertise in financial planning, budget development, audit management, strategic and master planning, and construction planning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all financial resources of the college and lead financial planning and budgeting across multiple campuses.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to ensure transparency and improve financial literacy.
• Oversee annual and long-range financial plans and capital projects; drive efficiency and reduce risk.
• Advise the president and leadership on long-range financial and organizational planning; engage with stakeholders.
