J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College seeks a visionary leader for the Vice President of Finance and Administration (VPFA)/Chief Financial Officer.

This executive role oversees financial services, HR, facilities, and campus safety across multiple campuses serving Virginia’s capital region. The VPFA partners with the President and executive team to shape strategy, ensure responsible stewardship of public resources, and drive institutional effectiveness for student success and workforce

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a related field as listed in the qualifications.
• A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible executive leadership experience in higher education or a public-sector organization.
• Experience leading organizational change and long-term strategic financial plans.
• Experience overseeing complex budgets, financial operations, and administrative services.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for institutional financial operations, HR, facilities, and campus safety.
• Lead long-range financial planning, budgeting, and capital planning aligned with enrollment trends and priorities.
• Collaborate with the President and executive leadership to advance the college's strategic plan.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, policies, and reporting requirements.
• Represent the College in external partnerships and governance matters.
