Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is conducting a search for a Head of Finance and Facilities Operations for a mission-driven educational institution on the San Francisco Peninsula. This full-time, onsite role combines strategic financial leadership with day-to-day operations and facilities oversight.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive nonprofit finance experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work with executive leadership and the Board to ensure fiscal health and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Five+ years of progressively responsible finance and operations leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit/educational environment.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, facilities management, and risk management.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership, Finance Committees, and Boards.
• Experience leading teams across multiple financial and operational functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, investments, reporting, and long-term modeling.
• Oversee accounting operations, audits, controls, compliance, and policies.
• Partner with leadership and Board to provide analyses, projections, and strategic recommendations.
• Provide leadership across facilities, capital projects, risk management, and vendor relationships.
• Oversee payroll support, tuition planning, financial aid, student accounts, and related operations.
• Lead finance, accounting, facilities, and business-office staff; strengthen systems and processes.
