Job summary

Commonwealth-Care-of-Roanok seeks a Corporate Director of Facilities Management to provide strategic and operational leadership for 12 long-term care centers. You will oversee maintenance, capital projects, life safety, and environmental compliance, partnering with executives and clinical teams to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, healthcare administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive facilities/maintenance leadership experience.
• Experience managing budgets, capital projects, and multi-site operations in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute system-wide facilities strategy across 12 centers.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs for building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, life safety).
• Lead capital planning, budgeting, and project prioritization.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, NFPA, CMS life safety standards, and building codes.
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for maintenance trades.
• Prepare for surveys and inspections (VDH-OLC, fire marshal, etc.).
• Train admins on Emergency Operations Plan and facilities processes.
• Review spending and drive cost-saving opportunities.
