Job summary

SeniorsPlus is seeking a President & CEO to provide strategic leadership, working with the Board and Executive Team to set long-range goals and operating plans. You will guide planning, development and evaluation for all programs while ensuring compliance with laws and internal policies.

The role requires a dedicated nonprofit leader experienced in fundraising and stakeholder engagement. The position offers a competitive compensation package and a chance to shape aging services across Maine.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a non-profit with budget of at least $10M.
• Proven track record in strategic planning and financial management.
• Fundraising experience and ability to build donor relationships.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with a board, staff, and community partners.
• Leadership style focused on empowerment, development, listening and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and execute a long-term strategic plan aligned with mission and community needs.
• Serve as primary spokesperson and ambassador, strengthening SeniorsPlus’ presence across Maine.
• Lead a high-performing team and nurture a mission-centered culture.
• Oversee financial health, resource development, and operational sustainability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with donors, community partners, and public stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors on governance, strategy, and high-level decisions.
