Job summary

Northwest Environmental Business Council in Lake Oswego, OR seeks an experienced Executive Director to guide the organization into its next chapter. You will lead a financially sound nonprofit, steward relationships with member companies, regulators, and government partners, and elevate NEBC's role as a convening force for environmental collaboration across the Northwest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Senior-level leadership experience in an association, nonprofit, business, government, or related organization.
• Demonstrated experience in organizational management, budgeting, staff leadership, and working with a board of directors or similar governing body.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and public-facing skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with businesses, government agencies, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a small, hands-on organization.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.

Responsibilities

• The Executive Director will serve as NEBC's chief executive and public-facing leader, developing relationships, strengthening strategic partnerships, supporting the organization's membership, and identifying opportunities to expand NEBC's impact and long-term success.
• Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will build on a strong foundation, leading a financially sound organization with an engaged Board, a dedicated staff, and a respected reputation for convening the people and organizations shaping the future of the environmental sector throughout the Northwest.
