Duties and Responsibilities:

General

• Manage and lead the estimating and project management department.
• Be accountable for all aspects of estimating and project management.
• Assess project performance and provide guidance to staff.
• Create and track market share within the area and report findings.
• Train, coach, and mentor personnel as needed.

Financial Management

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly costs using HeavyJob and JDE cost reports.
• Review cost reports with the team to understand variances.
• Accurately review project costs for submission to WCC Accounting.

Estimation Management

• Procure bid packages to bid or assign to estimators.
• Review and approve all outgoing estimates.
• Negotiate, review, and approve contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Foster strong relationships with customers.
• Evaluate market conditions and competitors' capabilities.
• Develop and maintain bidding strategies and processes.

Project Management

• Review and approve monthly estimates and invoices.
• Manage accounts receivable.
• Review and edit all monthly job cost reports.
• Manage project costs throughout the project to ensure budget and schedule adherence.
• Enforce contractual responsibilities and resolve disputes.
• Coordinate tasks smoothly between customers, project managers, and support staff.
• Manage job closeout processes.

Experience: 5-10 years of experience in estimating and project management within the construction sector.
