Job summary

NC State University in Raleigh seeks a Senior Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Services to lead the university’s enrollment enterprise and advise leadership on enrollment strategy, student access and success, and capacity planning. This role shapes how the university responds to changing enrollment dynamics and expands access to higher education.

Qualifications

• A post-baccalaureate degree and a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education.
• Senior leadership experience in enrollment management or a closely related higher education function, with responsibility for strategy, operations, resources, and outcomes across complex programs or organizational units.
• Experience leading and advising within complex, decentralized organizations, using data and organizational insight to inform senior-level decisions, build partnerships across academic and administrative units, navigate competing priorities, and establish shared accountability for results.
• Proficiency in applying data, analytics, research, technology, forecasting, and other evidence to strategic decision-making, with the ability to identify emerging needs, evaluate options, and improve organizational and student outcomes.
• Communication and relationship-building skills that support collaboration across organizational boundaries, including the ability to listen, facilitate, present, build trust, and exercise sound judgment in complex environments.
• A leadership approach grounded in collaboration, transparency, and student-centered service, with a commitment to educational opportunity, institutional excellence, student achievement, public service, and NC State’s land‑grant mission.

Responsibilities

• Shape University Enrollment Strategy and Capacity: Develop and advance a comprehensive, long-term enrollment strategy aligned with NC State’s plan and institutional capacity.
• Advance Student Access, Success, and Experience: Expand educational opportunity, reduce barriers, and strengthen student access and timely degree completion.
• Lead an Innovative, Data‑Informed Enterprise: Provide executive leadership for Enrollment Management and Services, aligning people, resources, technology, and operations.
• Build Institutional Leadership and Strategic Partnerships: Establish priorities and collaborative processes across EMAS and the university.
