Job summary

Auria is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to guide a U.S. Space Force ground framework. You will lead architecture, systems engineering, integration, and verification for a large-scale enterprise ground environment in a hybrid Washington, DC area role.

The role requires deep satellite ground systems expertise, cloud architectures, and MOSA-driven interoperability, reporting to program leadership and coordinating with cybersecurity, vendors, and operators.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 15+ years of technical leadership on complex Government technology programs.
• Experience as Chief Engineer or equivalent senior technical leader for a complex Government program.
• Proven experience architecting and leading large-scale software-intensive, space ground, cloud or system-of-systems environments.
• Strong knowledge of satellite ground systems and mission operations relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the program's senior technical authority across architecture, systems engineering, software, cloud/platform infrastructure, cybersecurity, integration, test, deployment, and operational transition.
• Lead development, maintenance, and evolution of the system architecture and technical baseline.
• Translate Government mission objectives into technical requirements, architecture decisions, integration strategies, and roadmaps.
• Lead the engineering of a complex system-of-systems environment with Government and commercial components.
• Apply MOSA principles and open standards to enable modular, interoperaible evolution.
• Establish and govern interfaces and integration boundaries across independently developed systems.
• Lead development and governance of interface control documents and architectural artifacts.
• Ensure the architecture supports onboarding, integration, and evolution of third-party systems.
