Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the technical direction of its next generation space systems in the United States. The role spans mission concept through delivery, with ownership of architecture, performance targets, and cross-discipline risk management.

You will collaborate with program leadership and customers, set system requirements, and guide subsystem teams while promoting rigorous standards and the ability to move quickly.

Qualifications

• Led complex aerospace or space programs in a Chief Engineer or similar role.
• Deep understanding of system-level performance, risk, and verification.
• Strong radar systems expertise; SAR experience valued.
• Ability to align engineering with program leadership and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction from mission design and system architecture through integration, verification, and delivery.
• Set system level requirements, interfaces, and performance targets.
• Work with Systems Engineers and subsystem experts to evaluate tradeoffs and resolve technical risks across disciplines.
• Lead major technical reviews and judge readiness for progression.
• Partner with program leadership and act as a senior technical voice with customers.
